Personal Statement :
Hi, I'm Stephanie and I would love to tutor you!
I must admit I have taken two tutoring classes and have only been tutoring at my college’s Writing Center for three months, but my lack of formal experience is made up for by my love of learning and my personal experience.
I have always loved to learn, so although, I have an A.A. and a B.A. in Liberal Studies (Elementary Education) from Fullerton College and Cal State Fullerton, I am still in school. I say if I can maintain an above 3.0 GPA with over * units, then so can you.
My secret for maintaining a high GPA throughout college is simple: I keep all of my old course work.
Thus, I teach by using my old course materials and books, as well as using the current materials provided by the tutee. Personally, I am a Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic Learner, so I teach for Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic Learners, but that might not be what you need, so I take into consideration tutee’s learning styles before teaching.
At the end of the day, I will do whatever it takes to help a tutee learn, even if it takes a while.
I have been tutoring privately for the past ten years off and on. I have helped Preschoolers through College Students in a variety of subjects. I feel I can teach anything as long as I have taken it before.
