Personal Statement :

I have spent the last 25 years in the banking industry in various positions including account reconcilement, collections and most recently, human resources. In that time, I have learned to train individuals on how to perform the same job functions I was performing on a daily basis.
During my years in gra school, I excelled in most forms of mathematics and also took Calculus in college. During my adult years, I have helped family members, friends and colleagues with their math. Several of my peers suggested that I tutor on a part-time basis, thus creating my tutoring service, MATH MA EASY TUTORING. I have taken my knowledge of math with the training experience I have learned in the working world to assist stunts of any age on the basics of math which will help them learn more advanced math applications. The math subjects I tutor are: arithmetic, prealgebra, Algebra I and II and Trigonometry. In the future I will provi tutoring services in Geometry and Calculus as well.

I believe in giving rewards to students that earn them. I love the challenge and the rewards I get from turning a F student into an A student. Allow me the blessing of helping and giving your student the tools they need to get through a difficult year. I am currently attending SFASU to get my my BA in Elementary/ESL Education. I have been subbing for all the Elementary schools for LHS. It has been a rewarding experience, and I have had the privilege in getting to know many up and coming students young and old.

Personal Statement :

I am enthusiastic in helping people and sharing the knowledge I have. Additionally the knowledge and experience I have is a good asset to the students or people I tutor. I am from Africa but who lived in united states for more than a decade and understand both cultures. Other than English I fluently speak, read and write in Amharic and Oromic (Oromiffa) languages. So students who speak either of these languages might benefit more from my tutoring. Above all I understand about any prevailing areas where students need improvement including their strengths. I have a Master's degree in Mathematics and shington State Teaching Certification with endorsement of Mathematics that has qualified me to teach in high schools of shington Schools.

Personal Statement :

After 25 years as an Electrical Engineer, I have chosen to change careers to teaching mathematics and technology to middle and high school students. I spent 20 years mentoring electricians through apprenticeship programs and noticed that I spent much of my time teaching them mathematics. I also loved working with students in middle school careers classes where I could show them why learning mathematics was a necessary life skill.
Currently, I am attending SU Brockport to earn my Masters degree in inclusive Adolescence Mathematics Education and completed my student teaching in May. I have taught and privately tutored students from 5th through 12th grade in middle school math, Common Core Algebra, Geometry, Algebra2/Trigonometry, Precalculus and Statistics. I really enjoy working one-on-one and in small group settings with students who are either struggling or need extra challenges.
Please feel free to contact me about personalized tutoring in middle and high school mathematics. My specialty is helping students to learn methods to work through word problems and review for the Regents and College Entrance exams.
